About Pea Gravels

Pea gravels are used in the lower strata of a filter bed as a support to filter media. For maximum efficiency, the pea gravel must possess necessary attributes of hardness and be rounded or non-angular. The gravel, like filter sand, contains hard durable particles with a slow breakdown rate. This helps to prolong filter media life. The gravel is screened into different sizes which effectively supports the filter media. Also pea gravels are widely used in rain water harvesting system.

Advantages
  • Free of organic impurities
  • The grains are smooth and rounded or sub-angular
  • It is made of hard, insoluble, siliceous material
  • Uniform in size and quartz based with high silica content

Versatile Landscaping Material

Pea gravels, sized 610 mm, are highly favored for their natural beauty and adaptability in landscaping projects. Their smooth, rounded texture and multicolor appearance add decorative charm to gardens, walkways, and driveways. Due to their medium porosity and moderate thermal conductivity, they facilitate efficient drainage while maintaining structural integrity, making them suitable for both aesthetic and functional outdoor applications.

Eco-Friendly and Safe Choice

Our pea gravels are eco-friendly, non-toxic, and odorless, promoting sustainable landscaping practices. They are inherently fire-resistant, have neutral pH (78), and contain less than 1% moisture, ensuring stability in various climatic conditions. The high purity of natural minerals, along with resistance to weathering and temperature shifts, contributes to long-lasting performance without compromising environmental safety.

Wide Range of Applications

Engineered for versatility, pea gravels are ideally suited for use in gardens, aquariums, walkways, driveways, drainage systems, and as a paving base. Their natural voids enhance drainage, while medium hardness (67 Mohs scale) supports enduring strength for landscaping and construction needs. Dealers, exporters, and suppliers across India provide flexible packing options to cater to specific project requirements.
